A Vietnamese coconut bowl and spoon set, hand-sanded from coconut shells that would otherwise be discarded.
Coconut shells that would otherwise be thrown away are shaped and sanded smooth by hand, from raw shell to polished bowl, in small Vietnamese workshops — part of the same way of working behind everything in the collection. See the full Rooted in Nature Collection →
We don't design a product first and look for someone to make it — we find people who already know a material well, and build the collection around what they already do best. This bowl turns coconut shells that would otherwise be discarded into something useful and long-lasting, which fits the way we think about materials in general.
Use the bowl for rice, snacks, or as a small serving dish, with the matching spoon alongside it. Beyond the table, it also works well as a small planter for succulents, a tray for jewelry or crystals, or a catch-all for keys and other everyday odds and ends.
