We don't design a product first and look for someone to make it — we find people who already know a material well, and build the collection around what they already do best. Water hyacinth turns a plant that would otherwise be cleared and discarded into something durable and useful, which fits the way we think about materials in general.
Use it for everyday storage — folded blankets and throws, laundry, toys, or as a catch-all basket by the entryway. Each basket is shaped and finished entirely by hand, so no two are ever perfectly identical.
Water hyacinth is a fast-growing plant cleared from rivers and canals in Vietnam's Mekong Delta. Once dried, its fiber is woven by hand into baskets and other homeware.
It's available in four sizes: S (20 × 17 cm), M (25 × 20 cm), L (30 × 23 cm), and XL (35 × 27 cm), measured as diameter × height.
